Tustin Baby Photographer | Kiaan

January 24, 2011

Here’s a special post for a very special baby I met in Tustin a couple weeks ago. Kiaan was born on July 4th last year at just 25 weeks gestation. If you know anything about the development of a fetus, then you know 25 weeks is way too soon (most pregnancies last 40 weeks, give or a take a few). Little Kiaan was under 2 pounds at birth, but his will to live was much bigger than his tiny body and he fought hard to survive. After spending the first 121 days of his life in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), Kiaan was finally sent home to be with his loving mommy and daddy. Because preemies have compromised immune systems, Kiaan hasn’t had many visitors, but his parents wanted to be sure to get some photos done of their little fighter because he’s growing up so fast. I was honored when I received their call.  Neha and Jay, thank you for entrusting me with these precious memories of  your new family.  Enjoy your sneak peek and see you next time!

Kiaan’s name means “God’s grace” and Kiaan truly is:

Proud daddy & mommy:

Happy in mommy’s arms:

“Hey ladies, how YOU doin’?”

I love that little smile!

Sweet dreams, Kiaan:
