My Boys

February 22, 2009

Hi everyone!  Welcome to my new blog.  As you can see, this blog is way cooler than the old one.  Now you can view photos in super size!  Another great feature I love is Facebook integration – that’s right, you can share posts from your session with all your friends on FB.  How cool is that?  Do you Twitter?  Me too!  Follow me and I’ll follow you.  I’m really excited about this blog and I’m hoping it will make me a better blogger.  One of my resolutions for 2009 was to dedicate more time to blogging.  Two months into the year and I’ve already fallen off the blogging wagon, BUT with my new and greatly improved blog, I’m ready to give it another go.  Hey, I’ve got to keep at least one of my resolutions, right?

So to kick things off, I’m posting some of my favorite photos of my boys.  I can’t believe how quickly they’ve grown – I often find myself wishing that they’d stay this little forever.  Well, time stands still for no one, but at least we’ve got photographs to help preserve memories that would probably otherwise fade away.  Some of these photos are snap shots and maybe a little out of focus, but I love them anyway.

Enjoy the pics and remember to bookmark the new blog.  As always, thanks for stopping by.  :-)

My poor boys – they’re so over being my little models.

Candice & Glen

February 14, 2009

OK, I find it pretty amusing that my last photo session of 2008 was a wedding and my first session of 2009 was also a wedding. Hmm, maybe it’s a foreshadowing of things to come.

Candice and Glen were married on New Year’s Day. They had originally planned on a summer wedding, but Glen got a call from Uncle Sam informing him that would be deployed to Iraq (for the third time) in February, so he and Candy decided they didn’t want to wait until Glen came home to tie the knot. The ceremony was sweet and intimate with just close family and friends in attendance. Afterward, we walked around Shoreline Village in Long Beach and got some cool shots:

Congratulations Candice and Glen!

candice & glen: You're awesome Vanessa. You took care of us last minute and did a wonderful job with us and our pictures. Thank you so much for everything and for taking the best pictures for our special day.

Michelle: You really captured their love in these photos! The Bride and Groom look outstanding!
