Last week I was craving something that I rarely ever eat…doughnuts.  Well, there’s only one place worth going to if you’re going to indulge in all that fat and sugar and it sure isn’t Dunkin’ Donuts (my apologies to all my east coast friends who swear by that place).  No, if you want the ultimate doughnut experience, then Krispy Kreme is the place to be.  Where else can you watch a little drop of dough become a delicious, melt in your mouth, sugar glazed masterpiece?

Christian and Aidan had never had a doughnut up to that point, so I thought their first experience should be a memorable one.  Apparently, Krispy Kreme was totally on board with my idea because we only bought 3 doughnuts – one for each of us, but ended up with 8 total.  It was pretty funny – the employees kept coming to our table and giving the boys samples.  I  tried to turn them away, as  I had no interest in having two 2 year old boys bouncing off the Krispy Kreme walls, but each time, they just left the doughnuts at the table.   What was I to do?  Well, I did what any good mom would do…I ate them all myself!  J/K  :-)

Man, all this doughnut talk is making me hungry!  Anyhow, here are some photos from their first Krispy Kreme experience.  By the way,  I’m trying out a new slideshow that features full screen viewing.  Pretty cool, huh?

adrienne Brown: this was absolutely the best...your story and their faces say it all...i almost want to eat one just for old times sake...it's been years since i had one!

Darlene R Pronowitz: What a fantastic idea. You are so clever. Not only are you a great photographer, you are also an A+ storyteller. The picture of the little guy looking at his fingers was priceless. He does not know yet that you just stick your fingers in your mouth and lick off the remaining sugar. No one wants to use a napkin.

nanette: what nice shots! you're really a good photographer.

Kat: ARRRRRRRGH! now how can anybody resist THAT - the KKs and the BOYS!?!? not i, said the Kat. HEE!

Uh oh! Slacking again!

April 8, 2009

OK, last month was very busy with birthdays and vacations and trips here and there.  With all that stuff going on, how could I have possibly found the time to edit photos, let alone, blog about them?  Hmm, does that fly as an excuse?  Probably not.  I’ve given in to the fact that I am a lazy blogger, but I swear, I’m working on it, really!  You know, it seems like this blog is starting to become my confession box, but my only sin is not blogging.  Oh, the guilt!  :-)

So I’ll start off by posting a pic of my hubby, Jean-Jacques, whose birthday was last month.  I meant to dedicate a blog post just to him, but now he’ll just have to settle for a picture :-)

The boys hanging out in an old train at the L.A. Museum of Transportation

Have I ever mentioned that it’s impossible to get a nice shot of them together?

Aidan in the Dog Pound at Disneyland.  Hmm, I just realized I should post some pics from our visit to Disneyland.

Christian decided to pose for me.  What an unexpected surprise!

When it’s below 70 degrees, we break out the winter hats!

OK, more photos are on the way.  I just wanted to rid myself of some blog neglect guilt.  Tomorrow’s post is going to be high in calories…you’ll see what I mean :-)
